The Dance Arts Center is a Safer Studio

We’re so excited to begin our 41st dance season serving the greater St. Joseph area with our 2025 – 2026 dance classes. The Dance Arts Center has grown into one of the most recognized names in our community, known for our outstanding staff, organization, creative productions, and age-appropriate costuming. DAC offers over 80 classes for children and adults:
- Ballet
- Tap
- Pointe
- Jazz
- Contemporary
- Musical Theater
- Tumbling
- Hip Hop
We also have specialty classes like Leaps & Turns, Strength & Stretch, and Yoga. Our 4 studios are designed and constructed for dance and include a waiting room with an observation window. We’re especially proud of our Beyond Dance Program allowing dancers with special needs to participate in dance classes and perform in our annual recital.
Adult instructors teach all classes and are eager to share their knowledge and expertise. Benefits students receive include proper technique, poise, concentration, time management, problem solving, and confidence.

- June 1, 2025 – Returning Student Registration
- July 1, 2025 – New Student Registration Begins
- Monday, August 25, 2025 – Dance Classes begin
- Summer Registration Begins in April
- Summer Classes Begin June 15th, 2026
- Friday, June 5, 2026 – Saturday, June 6, 2026 – Recital
Classes are NOT in Session:
- Labor Day: September 1, 2025
- Halloween: October 31, 2025
- Thanksgiving: November 24 – 30, 2025
- Winter Break: December 22, 2025 – January 3rd, 2026
- Spring Break: March 7th-13th, 2026
A $15.00 late fee will be applied to any payments made after the 10th of the month. A $25.00 service fee will be charged for any returned checks.
For your convenience, we offer an automatic debit payment plan. Easily create your account online and then enter your debit card information, allowing your account to be charged for the class.
Online payments can also be made by credit card. Just log in to your account with your username and password.

Safer Studio Policy
The Dance Arts Center reserves the right to deliver class content via an online system in the event classes are not able to be conducted live for any reason including, but not limited to: weather, teacher absence, or governmental mandates.
The Dance Arts Center follows the More Than Just Great Dancing Safer Studio Guidelines which prioritize a hierarchy of safety and wellness measures including:
- Frequent hand hygiene
- Enhanced cleaning procedures
- Curricular and facility adjustments
- Continuous parent communications
- Hand sanitizer will be usedby anyone entering and exiting the building
- We will continue to disinfect the classrooms and building.
Privacy
The Dance Arts Center, LLC agrees not to release any information provided by you to any outside organization without your consent.
Weather Cancellations
We will post weather-related class cancellations on our website, Facebook and Twitter. Dance Classes are NOT always cancelled when school is cancelled due to weather. Please check our website or call the office at 816-233-5442. We also notify local media outlets regarding weather cancellations.
